CO-WORKING COVID SAFETY PROTOCOLS

UPDATED DUE TO THE NEWEST CITY AND COUNTY EMERGENCY ORDER. ORDER IN PLACE AS OF SEPT 13, 2021 

All Staff, Vendors, Contractors, Members, and Guests must review and comply with our Safety Protocol.

1. Co-working Hours of Operation:  Monday through Friday, 8:30am-4:30pm.

2. We will allow no more than 25 people in the space (total of Coworkers and Staff).

3. All non-members (day pass, 5-day pass, monthly pass, member guests) will need to show proof of vaccination or a negative COVID test result. COVID test must be within 48 hours of the intended co-working day. Waiwai Collective will not keep any records of personal health documents. We will not hold a copy of any documents.

4. All WC staff will be required to submit proof of Vaccine or a weekly negative COVID test to come to work. WC staff also includes any coworkers with Work Trade agreements in place.

5. Face masks need to be worn at all times in Ka Waiwai, unless eating, drinking, or at your desk not engaging in conversation.

6. Staff will sanitize all tables, chairs, surfaces and commonly used items. Coworkers will be asked to leave table-stackers, floor pillows, etc. at your designated table for Staff to sanitize after use. 

7. We have changed our hand towels to an automated, disposable dispenser. 

8. No food or beverages will be sold or offered until further notice. Our community water dispenser has been removed for the time being. Coworkers may bring in their own food and drink.

9. Coworkers may use the reusable dishware, and will be responsible to wash them after. Staff will ensure clean dishes are sanitized and put away.

10. No ʻawa will be squeezed for consumption in Ka Waiwai. 

11. Coworkers and Guests are able to work together with no more than 10 people in a group. Face masks must be worn throughout the duration of these interactions. 

12. In-person meetings will be kept to a maximum of 10 people per meeting, and masks are to be worn throughout the duration of the meeting.

All Staff, Members, and Guests will be asked to respond truthfully and to the best of their ability, to our Questionnaire before entering Ka Waiwai.

Participation is important to help us take precautionary measures to maintain the overall health of the community.
You may join us in Ka Waiwai if you can answer “yes” to all of these statements:

I have not tested positive for COVID-19.

I am not currently awaiting test results, due to concerns of experiencing symptoms related to COVID-19.

I am not experiencing any of the following symptoms related to COVID-19: cough, shortness of breath or difficulty breathing, fever of 100 F or higher, chills, muscle pain, sore throat, new loss of taste or smell, nausea/diarrhea/vomiting.

I have not traveled outside of Hawaiʻi in the past 14 days. (If you have traveled outside of Hawaiʻi in the past 14 days, you must certify that you have undergone and passed the State of Hawaii’s Pre-Travel Testing Program.)

I have not recently been in contact with someone, who has traveled outside of the STATE within the past 14 days. (If you have come into contact with someone who has traveled outside of Hawaiʻi in the past 14 days, you must certify that the aforementioned person has undergone and passed the State of Hawaii’s Pre-Travel Testing Program.)

I am not living with or have come into contact with someone who has contracted, or is being tested/awaiting test results for COVID-19, within the past 14 days.

I understand the risk and requirements for co-working or attending an event at Ka Waiwai.

I am able to comply and follow all Safety and Physical Distancing Protocols.
