Aloha Dear Friends, Supporters & Collaborators,

With deep aloha, we share that we will be closing this beloved space in June 2025. As we prepare to bid farewell to this physical space, we want to mahalo each of you for your belief and investment in a space that fostered connectedness and belonging. Your presence, energy, and commitment helped shape a kīpuka of transformation, resilience, and care.

Ka Waiwai ma Mōʻiliʻili is a generative urban kīpuka that we have cultivated together — a living space rooted in culture, community, and commerce.

Over the years, this kīpuka has been more than a place — it has been a vessel for shared dreams, deep relationships, courageous collaboration, and the nurturing of our collective abundance. This space has harnessed the power of collective abundance and kuleana to weave and strengthen our relationships; to share resources, exchange ideas, and challenge harmful narratives.

Our cultivation and stewardship of our relationships for a thriving Hawaiʻi has been our true waiwai. We created this together! Mahalo piha to all of you.

Stay tuned for our next chapter in 2026!

Me ke aloha,
The Waiwai Collective ʻOhana

WAIWAI COLLECTIVE

Waiwai Collective is a group of Native Hawaiian entrepreneurs who share kuleana and a passion for uplifting the lāhui. Through their work, they have seen the extraordinary power of physical community when people come together with purpose and aloha.  Ka Waiwai is a call to action for the lāhui kanaka to come together and dream up ideas of exchange and abundance that prioritize the quality of relationships and the balance between people and the ʻāina.

“Ka Waiwai is a concentration of inspiring and inspired people, actively committed to making positive change. And the waiwai of this place is pilina - the foundation of all aspects of life.”

Nai‘a Watson (Co-working Member, Artist & Entrepreneur)

“Ka Waiwai is a space where we can discover and co-create a collective culture that is grounded by the depth of Hawaiian values and wisdom.”

Mahina Paishon-Duarte (Waiwai Collective CEO & Co-Founder)

“Ka Waiwai’s value to our people can never be truly be measured as it connects people to space while binding relationships, cultivating thought, inspiring the next generation and elevating our connections through aloha.”

Keola Chan (Corporate Member, Non-Profit Executive & Cultural Healer)

“Ka waiwai o ka pilina aloha o nā kānaka a me ka ‘āina. A lot of people who connect with Ka Waiwai share similar foundational values, they care about ‘āina and culture and they’re looking to empower our community and our lāhui.”

Noelle Campbell (Co-work Member & Entrepreneur)

“When I take off my slippers at the door, I’m reminded that I’m a guest in this space, in this community, and on this ʻāina. This feeling of being a guest — and being my best self, connecting without judgment, expressing the most aloha — is what I get out of Ka Waiwai.”

Scott Nishimoto (Co-work Member & Non-Profit Executive)
